New to the community? Here’s a quick guide to help you find your way around and get involved.
We’ve designed the community to bring together different groups of people who share an interest in maths, learning and helping others experience success.
Finding your space
The main categories are organised around different groups within our community:
-
Educators’ Exchange – for maths teachers, lecturers and other education professionals to connect, exchange ideas and discuss teaching and learning.
-
Tutors’ Table – for tutors to share experiences, discuss their work and connect with others in the tutoring community.
-
Learners’ Lounge – a space for learners to ask questions, share experiences and connect with others.
-
Parents’ Place – for parents and carers to exchange ideas, ask questions and share experiences of supporting maths learning.
Each space contains more specific categories to help you find the discussions most relevant to you.

Joining a conversation
See something interesting? You can reply to an existing discussion, share your thoughts, ask a follow-up question or offer your own experience.
You don’t have to be an expert to contribute. Sometimes a different perspective or a simple question can make a conversation even more valuable.
Finding discussions
Use the search function to look for topics, keywords or discussions that interest you.
You can also browse the categories to discover conversations you might not otherwise have found.
Managing notifications
You can adjust your notification preferences through your profile settings. This allows you to choose how you keep up with discussions and activity.
You can also follow topics or categories that particularly interest you.
Start connecting
The best way to get started is simply to join in.
Introduce yourself, explore the different spaces, ask a question or share something you’ve found useful.
And remember, this is a community we’re building together. If you have an idea for something that would make it better, we’d love to hear it.
